Brazilians living in Connecticut are planning to gather in Bridgeport's Seaside Park Thursday (June 20th) to show support for those demonstrators who have been staging massive protests against the government in their homeland.
The theme of the solidarity rally will be "We are far but stand together," according to the organizers.
Protests in Brazil were launched in Sao Paulo on June 14 over a rise in public transportation fares. The demonstrations have morphed into massive public rallies against everything from government corruption to inequalities in the Brazilian economy.
The Bridgeport rally is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
