What's being promoted as "the most highly sought after Grateful Dead show captured on film" will run simultaneously in HD at theaters around the country on August 1, including nine cinemas in Connecticut, according to a Fathom Events press release.
The film, "Sunshine Daydream," captures the Dead on August 27, 1972 in Veneta, Ore. (Listen to the whole show here.) A YouTube clip released this morning is full of naked hippies dancing to "China Cat Sunflower" > "I Know You Rider."

Tracks include "Bird Song," "China Cat Sunflower" > "I Know You Rider," "Dark Star," "Greatest Story Ever Told," "Jack Straw," "Playing In The Band," "Promised Land," "El Paso" and "Sing Me Back Home."
