Angelina,

How do I make my wishes known in my family. I am a mom of 3. My kids are 3, 8 and 12. My husband works and I LOVE being a mom but I find that I want a little change. I want to have a part time job or something that I get a little break from the kids and discover more of me!

Am I wrong to feel this way?
Thank you

Rose from Simsbury

Hello Rose,

You are not wrong!  In fact, I think you are cheating your family of knowing all the dimensions of who you are if you do not get out of the house and discover ...YOU!

The job of a mom is important. I sense you are a great mom and someone who tends to be a healer. Healers tend to put others first. SO, I can understand why you struggle with trying to share that you need a small change.

You have been a mom for 12 years. That is a long time. A little variety is not a lot to ask for. Ask your self has your Hubby change jobs within12 years. If so, I am sure that you supported him in that change. When you talk to him you can use this example!

It is very important to find something additional to do something that will enhance your relationship with self and then can  be able to bring that back to your job of being a mom.

Talk to you husband, who is your best friend and partner.

My suggestion would be to find the words to express what you LOVE about your life.
Begin the conversation with your Husband with this positive feed back.

Tell him how much you feel blessed to be a mom for 12 years but that you are wanting to shift how the two of  you all parent so you can get out of the house a little. It would even be better if you had an idea of what you wanted to try or do. If you do, let him know that this will only make things better. You will fell revived refreshed and renewed as a mom , a wife and a partner.

Please let me know how it goes. Remember, honor your energy and you both will be happier!

Together in the Journey,

Angelina
